Zombie Replacement At CAPCOM
In an interview with Eurogamer, Dead Rising 2’s Keji Inafune, Kenji admitted that CAPCOM plans to make the Dead Rising franchise its top franchise. Kenji Stating “The goal for Dead Rising 2 is to replace the Resident Evil franchise and become the number one IP within CAPCOM”
CAPCOM apparently wants the Dead Rising franchise to replace the Resident Evil franchise and become its top dog in its many list of properties, including the Street Fighter franchise which is currently CAPCOM’s top dog. It makes since that CAPCOM would like to have a a safe net for the survival horror genre to fall back on because even now, the Resident Evil series is nearing its end as far as plot is concerned but to out make its number 1 property is a hard task to accomplish and is yet to be seen looking at Resident Evil’s 5 5mil sales compared to Dead Rising’s 1mil sales.
